Back in October, before the World Championships festivities went into full–gear, Speed On The Water featured an article interviewing our own Randy Scism! Check out an excerpt of the interview below.

“This is the first time I’ve ever done the poker run, so I’m expecting to have a lot of fun this year,” said Scism, who normally races in the Super Boat International Key West World Championships but won’t be this year as his racing teammate, Bob Bull, sold his 48-footer to Norway’s Tor Staubo of the Gasse team. “I will definitely keep an eye on the racing, but it will be nice to be able to focus on the poker run for once.”

Along with a multitude of catamarans ranging from 36 to 50 feet, MTI be running its prototype MTI-V 42 center console, MTI’s first V-bottom (see Exclusive: Driving the Game-Changing SV42 from MTI) in the poker run from Miami to Key West on Wednesday (Nov. 7)—the first of four departure days. Scism said he’s delivering a stunning white and gray 48-foot MTI to one of his customers this week, too.
