We are excited to hear about what customers think of our brand new 340X sport catamaran that features a Garmin center console and twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines. Nebraska couple, Charlie Roll and Jenny Davis, tell us their story about how they’re continuing their family tradition of enjoying time on the water with MTI – and what they love the most about the MTI 340X.

Although Nebraska’s Charlie Roll and Jenny Davis would have preferred to drive their new 340X sport catamaran from Marine Technology Inc., a little more on Friday when they took delivery of the new boat with MTI owner Randy Scism, the weather—more specifically the wind on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks—prevented that from happening.

MTI Delivers 340X to Nebraska Customer

Still, the couple was able to log a little seat time in the carbon 34-footer that features an orange, silver and black paint job plus twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines. Roll wasn’t too disappointed with the abbreviated delivery day since he used to own a 340X with the same power. He’s also owned one of MTI’s 42-foot cats with twin Mercury Racing 1100 engines and a MTI-V 42 luxury performance center console with quad Verado 400R engines.

And get this—his matching MTI-V 42 is currently in production at the Wentzville, Mo., company’s headquarters.

“From the quality of the product to the customer service, I’ve liked everything about the MTIs I’ve owned, which is why I ordered the new boats,” Roll said. “MTI’s center console is phenomenal and the 340X is awesome. This new 340 is incredible—it’s a big difference between the 18 and 19 models.”

Roll pointed out that the seating throughout the cockpit is enhanced in both design and appearance, and that the storage in the new boat versus his old one is noticeably improved. He also stressed a couple of other updates—a 24-inch Garmin display centered in the dash and the fully upholstered dash and side panels.
