Although Southern California performance boaters Kenny and Montana Gonzales had planned to purchase Crypto, and the customized SportChassis Freightliner that hauls the impressive, canopied V-bottom, the couple withdrew from the deal earlier this year and shortly thereafter landed their next boat, which they were excited to debut in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
According to Kenny Gonzales, he’s been hanging out at his Lake Havasu home for the last couple of weeks getting RedRum—his 2018 43-foot MTI catamaran powered by Mercury Racing dual-fuel turbocharged 1350/1100 engines—ready for the Super Cat Fest West and the Desert Storm Poker Run. And, thanks to the teams at Barrett Custom Marine in Lake Havasu City and MTI in Wentzville, Mo., he said the boat is dialed in perfectly.
“The boat runs so well—she’s literally perfect,” Gonzales expressed with a smile. “We’ve been messing with props to suit my driving style and all I can say is that this boat is fun to drive. And it’s absolutely gorgeous.
