Of all the boats we couldn’t wait to see in person during our early November Key West, Fla., photoshoot for the 2021 Speed On The Water Year In Review collectible print addition, Michael Ciasulli’s MTI 390X catamaran was at—or at least very near—the top of the list.

First, the New Jersey-based performance-boat man is never shy with colors—he leans toward red and he leans toward bold—and his boats tend to shoot really well. Second, we are big fans of Mark Morris, the gifted artist who handled the boat’s wild color scheme and the man behind the Visual Imagination graphics shop in Missouri.

Ciasulli told us that the photos he sent for our story on the 39-footer’s completion and delivery just in time for the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run didn’t do justice to the finished product. And we knew he was right.
