From June 20th to 25th, a group from our MTI family embarked on a well-deserved getaway to the Bahamas, providing them with a chance to relax and prepare for the upcoming season. Departing from Haulover Marine Center in North Miami Beach, Florida, 15 MTI boats and 97 guests embarked on a week-long vacation.  This comes after MTI owner and founder, Randy Scism hired his youngest daughter as the customer relations manager, company events like this have prospered including trips like this.  With meticulous planning, we host these exclusive customer events as a token of our appreciation, ensuring that every detail is taken care of, allowing our customers to fully savor their boating experiences. Proof positive that time flies when you’re having fun, especially on the water? The first MTI Owners Fun Run to the Florida Keys happened eight years ago. Randy Scism, the founder and owner of the Wentzville, Mo.-based high-performance catamaran and center console builder, wanted to create a memorable and exclusive adventure for members of his customer-family.

Scism’s youngest daughter, Taylor, joined the company five years ago and took on the role of customer relations manager. Thanks in large part to her efforts, the brand-specific happenings—by all accounts from MTI owners—have gotten better and better. Three years ago, Scism and her team launched an owners trek to the Bahamas.

And that’s where 15 MTI models and 97 guests are right now and will be until this Sunday. That is roughly the same turnout, according to Scism, as the event had last year.

“This one is really fun because we do a lot more of activities rather than just lunch runs,” Scism explained. “It’s also usually a first time trip for a lot of people and it’s cool to see their reactions.”
