In-House Salesperson

Marine Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven In-House Salesperson with a strong background in sales and hands-on knowledge of boats and the high-performance marine industry. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships, generating sales, and supporting clients during and after the build process. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and respect for client confidentiality is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Handle sales inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms as well as in person at events
Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers in the marine industry
Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and options recommendations
Draft contracts and maintain customer paperwork
Collaborate with design, production, and logistics teams throughout the build process
Provide knowledgeable guidance on marine products, systems, and options
Maintain detailed and accurate records in CRM systems
Follow up on leads and actively pursue new sales opportunities
Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information, pricing, and proprietary company data

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of sales experience (required)
Direct experience with boats, marine equipment, or the marine industry (required)
Ability to travel to industry events and to meet with customers
Detail oriented and organized with regard to paperwork
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and CRM systems

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in high-performance marine sales
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Epicor
Established network within the boating or marine industry

Part-Time Remote Events Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Events Coordinator to support the planning and execution of events for MTI boats. This is a part-time, remote position ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to deliver exceptional event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and coordinating MTI events including boat shows, demo days, owner gatherings, and luxury lifestyle events
Coordinate logistics such as event schedules, marina arrangements, transportation, and vendor management
Serve as a key point of contact for customers, assisting with event registration and booking
Communicate directly with attendees to provide event details, updates, and pre-event information
Maintain organized guest lists, track RSVPs, and manage attendee communications
Support coordination of on-water activities including photoshoots, lunch runs, and crew scheduling
Manage event timelines, checklists, and project tracking tools
Assist with travel coordination, accommodations, and hospitality for clients and team members
Plan and execute formal dinners while at events
Coordinate branded materials, merchandise, and event setup needs
Conduct post-event follow-ups, surveys, and recap reporting

Qualifications

Prior event planning or coordination experience required
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex logistics
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Self-starter with a high level of motivation and ability to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting directly with customers
Interest in boating, yachting, or the marine lifestyle (experience with MTI boats is a plus)
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Teams, and project management tools
Flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends aligned with event schedules
Ability to travel to out-of-state events throughout the year (4 or fewer annually)
Ability to travel to the MTI office in Wentzville as needed

Preferred Skills

Experience coordinating boat shows or marine industry events
Familiarity with marinas, docking logistics, and on-water safety considerations
Basic marketing or social media promotion experience, especially for luxury brands
Experience working with high-net-worth clients or VIP guest services

Compensation

Hourly rate based on experience
Flexible, part-time schedule
