The 2024 March Fun Run delivered an action-packed experience from start to finish. MTI Owners and guests enjoyed a range of activities, from photo shoots to delightful lunch stops at various scenic spots. The Color of Your Boat Party added to the festive atmosphere showcasing an array of MTI vessels, while downtime at Hawks Cay’s pools and pickleball courts provided relaxation. The sandbar raft-up in Islamorada was a highlight, complete with tasty food options, day trips to Key West, and great company. As the event wrapped up, crews departed for Miami, reminiscing about a weekend filled with unforgettable moments.
Randy and Taylo Scism of MTI, took some time to share comments on the March Fun Run and their passion for boating and customer satisfaction.
What is the purpose of the March Fun Run?
It’s a customer appreciation event held to bring customers down and experience boating in the Florida Keys. This is some of the best boating in the world. A lot of people have never been here before so for the first timers it’s usally a super awesome trip, and for the people who have been here before, they love it and keep coming back. This is one of our favorite events of the year because we get to bring 50+ boats with over 300 people and everybody has a great time. They make new friends, we meet new people, it’s just a really great event.
What kind of feedback do you receive from the participants?
It’s so fun because a lot of them have not experienced this before and they are telling me, “This is the coolest thing we’ve ever done. We’ve never run our boat 70+ miles per hour for 100 miles.” These families get to have fun with eachother coming down here to Hawks Cay and make new friends. It’s a great boating environment we try to create for our customers.
MTI brings a variety of boats on this Fun Run, what is it like to give these participants demo rides?
It’s really a unique oppotunity becasue we try to bring a little bit of everything so anybody that wants to go out for a demo can try something new, we encourage people to do it and it’s a fun experience for everyone.
