Following after the huge success of Desert Storm Poker Run last year, the 2022 Desert Storm Poker Run is set to top it. This event held the 20th-24th of April will feature not only the poker run but also a Top Speed Shootout the day after. Although MTI is not hosting the Desert Storm Poker Run, if you attend the event, you will see some of your favorite MTI’s in action. We are loading up and pointing the trailers toward Clearwater Beach for the 2026 Clearwater Offshore Nationals, September 25 through 27. It is one of the marquee stops on the Race World Offshore calendar, part of the UIM World Championship Series and sanctioned by APBA, and the course sits right off the sand in the Gulf where the crowd can hear every pass. Our Class 1 program will be out there in the 48-footer with Willy Cabeza driving and Johnny Tomlinson on the throttles, twin Mercury Racing 1100s behind them, running with the fastest boats in the sport. That is a pairing we are proud to put in our boat. Willy has been building this program lap by lap all season, and Johnny brings more than 160 race wins and a reigning world championship to the right seat. Friday is test and tune and a chance to meet the teams, Saturday and Sunday are when it counts.
