Fiberglass Laminator

Marine Technology Inc. is looking for experienced laminators. This position is located at 206 Charles St. Oconto, WI 54153.

Benefits Offered —Vacation, paid holidays, and health, vision and dental insurance
Employment Type — First shift position with hours being 5:00AM-3:30PM Monday-Thursday, and 5:00AM-1:00PM on Friday (with additional overtime as needed). Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, based on experience (review after 90 days).

Duties to include:

  • Applying resin to fiberglass in prepared molds using rollers and/or brushes
  • Removing bubbles from fiberglass using squeegees/rollers
  • Selecting the proper materials as required for projects being built
  • Mixing resin and catalyst in the proper ratio
  • Perform vacuum bagging or resin infusion process

Fiberglass Laminator / Research and Development

  • Assisting in the development and execution of building new models of boats, with an emphasis on lamination and plug/mold building
  • Creating one of a kind, custom built boats
  • Modifying plugs and molds to make parts for new and/or custom boats
  • Occasionally modifying or repairing previously built boats
  • Performing patching/bodywork on plugs and custom boats

Qualifications to include:

  • Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use hand tools, and measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret, rough and final drawings
  • Willing to work in team environment
  • Willing to learn and perform new tasks as needed
  • Experience with epoxy resins, bodywork, and custom work preferred

Fiberglass Patching / Finishing

Marine Technology is looking for experienced patchers/finishers. This position is located at 206 Charles St. Oconto, WI 54153.

  • Identify defects and choose proper method of repair
  • Mixing and applying different fillers, and leveling with air sander or block
  • Spraying gelcoat to areas as needed
  • Sanding gelcoat and buffing to a high gloss, scratch free, finished product

  • Experience patching large or contoured parts preferred
